about Jess

I'm Jessica Olsson-Zabel and I have a love for designing and making homes, creating bespoke pieces to delight my clients.

Every project is unique and exciting for me, whatever the size, from just a lick of paint to project managing large scale work with architects and builders. In the initial meetings when we discuss budgets and timeframes I like to take the time to fully explore and understand every client's style, tastes, aspirations and the colour preferences that best reflect their personality. Together we develop ideas, themes and agree materials before work begins. Each task is treated with the upmost importance and attention to detail, all the way through to handing over the keys.

Born in Sweden, I travelled widely for several years collecting ideas and inspiration, eventually settling in the United Kingdom to complete a BA in Furniture Design & Technology at London Guildhall University. Since then I have opened my own shop, worked as an interior and furniture designer, upcycling vintage objects and renovating homes with my team of experienced builders. I enjoy working with ethical and eco-friendly products that contribute to a happy and healthy environment.

bespoke furniture

Whether I'm upcycling a favourite vintage item that needs a little TLC before being 'useful' again or designing something to fit a suitable home, I love the creative process almost as much as the finished object.

There is something deeply satisfying and instinctively right about reusing quality furniture from the past and, with some time and thought, applying techniques and imagination to bring it alive again for the future.
